Recently Refuge Manager Steve Reagan invited a group of FoNR members to observe the banding of some newly hatched red cockaded woodpeckers which are an endangered species found on the Refuge. Several Friends including Lawrence Croft accepted and some of his pictures are shown below. It is an interesting series. Caroline Causey is the expert climbing the tree.
